- Rev HJ Strauss joined the church in 1935. He first worked in Roossenekal and Epping, before he joined the Danielskuil congregation in 1946, In 1949, he moved to Beaufort West. He served on several synodal commissions before his unexpected death in 1958, at the age of 50.
