- History
- The Langeberg is the longest mountain range in the Northern Cape. By the mid1700s, the Koranna were living in this region. During the 1790s, the Tlhaping and Rolong frequented the northern reaches. The Tswana knew the mountain as Maje-a-Mokgothu, "The Koranna Mountain" In the 1790s, the Tlhaping settled at Gamopedi (PHR Snyman, Kuruman - Vervloe Pad na Afrika, 1992, p. 16).
