- This area is in habited by the baTlbhaping baga Phuduhutswana community. The first inhabitants came to this tribal outpost during the rule of the Tlhaping chief Jantjie, around 1860 or thereabouts. The community is usbordinate to baTlhaping chiefs, such as Kgosienewang Jantjie and O. Phetlhu. In 1963, its headman was Paul Jogome Kenosi, born 1902 (PL Breutz, The Tribes of the Districts of Kuruman and Postmasburg, 1963, p. 209). The settlement is located about 77 km south-east of Kuruman.
