The data was curated and validated by the Academy for Multilingualism here at the University of the Free State in conjuction with the ICDF who developed the Omeka S site and imported the data.

PUO is a language resource that provides multilingual terminologies across a range of subjects taught at the University of the Free State.

It was developed to provide terminology in students’ home languages, improving access to knowledge and supporting understanding where concepts may be difficult to grasp in English.

Terminology is currently available in English, Sesotho, and Afrikaans. Additional equivalents in South African Sign Language and isiZulu will be added on an ongoing basis.
