When two sets of data are strongly linked together we say they have a high correlation. The word correlation is made of co- (meaning "together"), and relation.
Correlation is positive when the values increase together. Correlation is negative when one value decreases as the other increases.
When two lines are crossed by another line (which is called the Transversal), the angles in matching corners are called corresponding angles. Example: a and e are corresponding angles. When the two lines are parallel Corresponding Angles are equal.
Co-terminal Angles are angles who share the same initial side and terminal sides.
Finding co-terminal angles is as simple as adding or subtracting 360° or 2π to each angle, depending on whether the given angle is in degrees or radians. There are an
infinite number of co-terminal angles that can be found.
The cross product a × b is defined as a vector c that is perpendicular (orthogonal) to both a and b, with a direction given by the right-hand rule and a magnitude equal to the area of the parallelogram that the vectors
span.
In geometry, a cube is a three-dimensional
solid object with six square faces, twelve straight edges, and eight vertices (corners). All the interior angles in a cube are right angles, and all its edges are of equal length.
Is any of a number of loosely related concepts in different areas of geometry. Smaller circles bend more sharply, and hence have higher curvature. The curvature of a smooth curve is defined as the curvature of its osculating circle at each
point.
A curve (also called a curved line in older texts) is, generally speaking, an object similar to a line but that need not be straight. Thus, a curveis a generalization of a line, in that its curvature need not be zero. A simple example of a curve is the parabola, shown
to the right.
Curve fitting is the process of constructing a curve, or mathematical function, that has the best fit to a series of data points, possibly subject to constraints
Cylindrical coordinates are a generalization of two-dimensional polar coordinates to three dimensions by superposing a height () axis. Either or is used to refer to the radial coordinate and either or to the azimuthal coordinates.
Decay refers to the gradual deterioration or decline of a substance, object, system, or organism over time, often resulting from natural processes or the passage of time.
