• superphosphate

  A phosphate fertilizer containing water soluble monocalcium orthophosphate abd calcium sulphate. It is prepared by first refining mined phosphate containing ore to a phosphate concentrate, which is then treated with sulphuric acid. It contains between 8% and about 11% P.

  The moisture content of the soil, at which plants wilt and fail to recover their turgidity when placed in a dark, humid atmosphere.
